Nature Kids: Watercolor Cat Faces!

Nature Kids is an after-school program for grades 2-5 offered by the Straub Environmental Center. The program is designed to provide Salem area students with unique environmental education experiences.   Participants explore nature and study a variety of environmental topics relating to western Oregon. This month’s featured class is Watercoloring Cat Faces. Artists and scientists both learn to observe things closely. Local artist Jill Johnson will help participants develop their powers of observation and have painting cat faces using watercolor techniques.
