Passport to Nature: Iron Mountain Wildflower Hike

John Savage, of the Straub Environmental Center and Willamette Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Oregon, will lead a rigorous, 4 to 5-mile hike with leisurely stops to view the wildflowers along the Cone Peak trail. This beautiful hike will allow kids, families, and adults to view the wildflowers, birds, and insects in the Iron Mountain area, which is home to more than 300 different native wildflowers and shrubs.

Participants must be able to hike 2 to 5-miles easily.

  • Starts: 8 am; Ends: 5 pm. Bring food and water.
  • Location: Meet at Eco Hub @ The Willamette Heritage Center (carpool and caravan to Iron Mountain)

  • Cost: $5 per person, children under 5 are free.
